You see, I was praying a lot, but still felt so disconnected. I yearned to hear God's voice. Surely, I wasn't praying correctly... I had the wrong channel or bad reception. Something. This friend of mine told me that SPEAKING to God was easy, it is the LISTENING that is hard. She assured me that indeed God was speaking to me... that I needed to listen.

This made me angry. Truth be told, I think I was already a bit angry at God. Here I was pouring my heart and soul out to Him... and... nothing. I didn't understand how a God that could turn water in to wine, part seas, burn bushes... God... how could He be capable of all of that, yet not be able to make me hear Him. Boy, that chaffed my bum for days. And I told God I was angry. But, I kept praying.

Then it dawned on me (thank you, God!).. I was telling God what I needed, what I required of Him. What I would do for Him. But never did I ask Him what I could do for Him. And so I did.... and then I listened. And I heard Him. He spoke very purposefully and very clearly.

You are right... we do need to ask God how we can serve Him. And He will answer.

I needed to type this. You see, I have been struggling again of late. Burdened and feeling lost. And just now... while typing this... I realized why. I never held up my end of the bargain. Never completed what God asked of me. I need to make that right, and I will this Sunday... as He instructed me.

I found this blog through Nan's Facebook link. And I am so glad I did. This blog... this commenting I am typing... I needed this.

Thank you... and God Bless.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-900631325482119368.post-43332267840205069682011-03-27T12:54:10.176-07:002011-03-27T12:54:10.176-07:00Angie, I'm glad I found your blog. Our whole perception on everything changes. Eyes become opened. Everything becomes better.

great post!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-900631325482119368.post-24773444524956515112011-03-17T19:52:03.400-07:002011-03-17T19:52:03.400-07:00It's great to meet you, Angie. That's the one that stuck with me.

In this life we will be asked, required even, to do what seems impossible, what may be unpleasant and even life-threatening for some for His glory. I am convinced that the only thing that will carry us through is intimate sold-out, serving-from-overflow relationship with our Creator King. It is essential for the Christ follower.cheriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09315098643249956850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-900631325482119368.post-75491653547391455382011-03-17T06:05:04.828-07:002011-03-17T06:05:04.828-07:00Great Blog, Angie.
